Umbra Visibility Solution for Games

What we are looking for:
We are also expanding our existing technology to enable storing, streaming and rendering of
massive 3D data sets. We already have a functional prototype ready and it will be first released
on top of game engines such as Unity and Unreal. By developing our software even further for a
variety of platforms and user types, we are going to make 3D available for everyone in the future.
If needed, Umbra provides an additional cloud service for fast computation and 3D data sharing
and streaming.

What we offer:
Umbra is a program that is used to optimize the performance of 3D graphics applications. It is a
standard solution in the video games industry, where it is generally used to implement “occlusion
culling”, a concept of quickly finding the parts of a 3D environment that are currently visible
in the view being drawn. By knowing what parts of the environment are visible, the application
can focus on making these parts pretty instead of wasting time on doing operations on the
hidden parts. This also allows the rendering run smoother with less performance requirements.
Umbra is a set of content creation tools and a runtime program that is integrated as a part of the
application that draws the graphics – in video games this application is called the game engine.
